You Were Created For This
In this message from the Expedition: Fulfilling God’s Plan for Your Life series, Pastor Daniel Bracken unpacks a foundational truth: you were created on purpose, for a purpose.
Looking at Genesis 1–2, we discover that we are not accidents or byproducts of chance—we are made in the image of God, designed to reflect Him, carry His authority, and live with meaning.
But there’s a tension—while every person bears God’s image, sin separates us from His plan. The good news? Through Jesus, we are not only restored, but translated out of darkness into His kingdom and empowered to become who we were created to be.
This message will challenge your identity, strengthen your faith, and remind you that:
You are not random.
You are not forgotten.
You were created for this.
Hi, this is Pastor Daniel Bracken. You're listening to Kings Alaska Podcast. I hope the Word encourages you and you get a touch from God that brings transformation and equips you to experience life with people, power and purpose. Thank you for joining us. Enjoy the Word Genesis chapter one as we continue in second message in the series Expedition Fulfilling God's plan for your life, I've entitled this.
You're created for this. I want you to make it personal. I was created for this. You ready? Set, go.
I was created. Genesis chapter one and verse 26. Let's read God's Word in the new King James this morning. Then God said, let us make man in our image according to our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, over the cattle, over all the earth.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God, he created him. Male and female he created them. Let's read verse 27 together. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God, he created him. Male and female he created them.
Verse 28. And God blessed them. And God said to them, be fruitful.
And multiply. Fill the earth and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves on the earth. Go to Genesis, chapter two, verse from verse seven. Now.
And the Lord God formed man out of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils a breath of life, and man became a living being. The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden. And the tree of the Knowledge of Good and evil.
Verse 10. Now a river went out from Eden to water the garden, and from there it parted and became four riverheads. Go down to verse 15, please. It names the rivers. Then Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.
Verse 16. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, of every tree of the garden you may freely eat, but of the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil you shall not eat. For in the day that you eat of it, you shall surely die. Let's pray. Father, thank you for what you did in the first service, what you'll do now in the second.
Let us never be the same as a result. I pray, give us living, understanding. Move in great power, Lord. All Those online, all those that listen in the future by podcast, on Facebook, on YouTube. Lord, let us be forever altered for the glory of God.
May the effects of this service be far reaching, even to eternity. We pray in Jesus name, give a big amen. Amen. You may be seated.
So we started the series because most people don't know how to fulfill the plan of God in their life. In actual fact, a lot of people don't know that God does have a plan. God has a plan. You're not a chance accident in the chance universe. God's got a plan.
Say it with me. God has a plan. God has a plan. Absolutely. Last week we started the series and we talked about the word of God and how God's word is God's word.
And I endeavored, really an introduction to prove that to you. I asked you a question last week about who your final authority is. Who is your ultimate authority in your life? He said, well, it's me. Well, you're a.
Then if you're the ultimate authority, I'm not looking at Pastor Karen. If you're the ultimate authority in your life, you're going to have a problem because you are finite in your mind and you don't understand everything. And yet God does. So many people, really, a demonic agenda has worked to try to say that God's word is written by man and it doesn't really mean anything. And as long as you believe that's what's important.
That's not true. No. God's Word is really infallible. It's inspired. It's the authoritative revelation of God.
It's absolute truth. Say it with me. It's what? Absolute truth. And it's only those who are uneducated and ignorant and want to remain that way that don't come to the understanding that God's word is absolute truth.
And it's how you're to live this blessed life is by obeying his God's Word. As I said last week, it is the most accurate historical document in the. I'm not exaggerating. In the history of the world, there is nothing more accurate than God's Word. It is the number one selling book ever since it came out.
In fact, Bible means book. It's the first book printed off of Gutenberg's printing press. It's still number one. And if you really are question that, I think that's good. But go ahead and hunt it down and find out the truth like every other scholar has done that, as I've done, though I can't say that Everyone has come to that conclusion but the well meaning Integra scholars.
As you study it, you realize there's no way that man actually wrote that and put it together. Man wrote it, you see their personality, but it's inspired or God breathed. You see God in the midst of it all. We talked about the canonization of scripture. Canon is, is a rule of measurement and how the lost books of the Bible are not lost, they're just not included in what you're holding in your hand because they are not considered to be that which is scripture, God's word.
So if you want to hear that, it's available on YouTube. We're moving forward in what I've entitled again, you were created for this so the map can be trusted was last week. The map can be trusted in this expedition. But if you don't understand who you are, if you don't understand that God created you, you don't understand God's purpose, you'll miss out on everything that God has. Wow.
You're not here by accident. You're not here by chance. You're here because God created you. God created you. You didn't come from an ape.
Who are you? Like why? Go ahead and ask yourself, bump your neighbor and say, hey, who are you? So, oh, my name is not and ask you your name. I asked you who you are.
Who are you? Who are you? Psalm 8. The Psalmist David said, what is man, that thou art mindful of him? What is man that you, oh God, are mindful of man, the son of man, that you should care for him.
You set him a little bit below the angels, yet you've crowned him with glory and honor. Oh, and I consider the moon and the stars which you've set in place. What is man that thou art mindful Me looks at creation. He's like all of creation is amazing, but mankind, man, that is really something.
Some people would argue that you're the result of a series of complex.
Reactions, chemical reactions that you rose out of the primordial slime. There is no fossil record to say that we evolved from any animal. I mean, you have to have more faith, honestly, to think that you came from a single cell organism and multiply. There's no fossil record for that. There's no proof for that means I believe in science.
Well, good. Believe in science and understand that there is no way. And let me ask you, who are you? Why do you think in terms of justice? Come on now.
Why do you think in terms of justice? What do you mean? That's not fair. You ever heard your kids say that? That's not fair.
In fact, I was eating dinner with my. My brother and my wife last night, and as we were eating dinner, he got some oysters on the half shell, and Pastor Karen and I got some pan seared calamari with the lemon caper sauce.
And my brother decided to give me an oyster. So he gave me one of the smaller ones. I did notice that. Gave me a smaller oyster and I threw that back. Was fantastic.
Should have had a little bit of lemon on it, but I neglected that. But it was fantastic. It was great. It's crisp, fantastic. And I was grateful that he shared.
So I shared some of our calamari. But as time went on in the appetizer phase, which we were enjoying, he came to take another piece of calamari. And I said, bro, it was like the last piece. You know what I'm talking about? Your mama taught you, don't take the last piece.
Isn't that right, Mom? So I'm like, dude. He's like, what? Like, well, you only gave me, like, one of your oysters. What are you going to take into one?
And it was a thing of fair. It's a thing of justice. We had. Anybody have food justice going on? Am I the only one?
Okay, so I'm just thinking, like, okay, you can have another piece of calamari, but, like, all your oysters are gone, and now you're eating my calamari. It wasn't fair. I said something to realize you're cheap. I'm like, jesus, help me. I gave him half of the last piece.
Justice. Why do you think in terms of justice, why did you stand in front of a mirror this morning?
I was fixing my hair this morning.
Why did you do that? Why did you look in the mirror and fix your hair or your hairpiece or your wig or. Why do you even. Why do you even color your hair? Some of you have colored your hair so much, you've even forgotten the original color of your hair.
Oh, my roots. My roots are showing.
Why. Why do you think in terms of justice? Why do you think in terms of beauty? Dogs don't think in terms of justice. Cats don't think.
Why? The answer can never be found in science.
The answer can only be found in the truth and the reality. Not that you came from primordial slime. Not that you're the result of complex organisms. And finally, you evolved into somebody who thinks in terms of moral motions and right and wrong. The only answer.
There's only one answer. And the only Answer is you're made in the image of God. That is the only answer. Come on, lift a hand to heaven and say, I'm made in his image. I don't know what you made him.
I'm made in. Come on, say I'm made in his image.
The prince kiss the frog. Or the princess that kissed the frog. It's not true. No. Man is created with divine identity and purpose.
Man is created with a divine identity and purpose. You are significant more than any other thing in all of creation. More than the moon, the stars, more than the baby seals, more than the whales. You're significant and special above all creation. So God created.
And look at verse 27. So God created. That word right there. Bara b a r A transliterated from the Hebrew. God created man.
He did what? He created man in his own image. The image of God. He created him. Male and female.
One of the great tragedies of the transgender movement is it denies who God created them to be. It's actually taking the place of becoming God yourself.
A life of torment and pain. If you struggle with that, you can be set free. That which California has outlawed reparative therapy and confusion, sexual confusion. You need to be healed. That's all.
You just need to be healed.
Instead of let there be, he said, let there be light. Everybody say, let there be. Let there be light. He didn't say let there be. When he made man, he said, let us make.
Let. Let there be. Let there be. Let there be any. That's creation, the story of creation.
But when he came to mankind, he said, let make. Trinitarians would say that US refers to the Godhead, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I had some well meaning person trying to argue with me that Trinity is not in the scripture. And I said, I know. And they thought they caught me.
The Trinity is not in the scripture. But the principle is there. The Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Hero, Israel. The Lord thy God is one God.
He's the three. And one God. Within the Godhead, there's three distinct persons. And each and every one of them is God. The Father is God.
The Son is God. The Holy Spirit is. You kind of second guessed on me right there. The Father is. The Son is.
The Holy Spirit is. This is basic theology. And anyone that destroys the Godhead is in the Christian cult.
Did you hear that? Listen. Filled with the Spirit, praying in tongues. Not in tongues. He can go ahead and split hairs on that.
You destroy the Godhead, have a serious problem. And there are many that do that. And I talked about that last week, a little bit too Christian cults. Let us make man in his own image. This word bara, is to create.
It's. It's as if God does all of this creation and he says, oh, oh, yeah, let's go. Let's make man very different than all of other creation. Come on, someone say I'm different.
Let us make. We took time to form man. And it doesn't just take time to form him. He breathes into him. Breath, the breath of life.
You see, so whether you were raised in poverty or whether you're raised in with a silver spoon in your mouth, you came from the proverbial wrong side of the tracks, or you feel in your mind you came from the right side. It doesn't matter whether you're black, it doesn't matter whether you're white. It doesn't matter whether you're yellow, red, pink, maroon, mocha. Doesn't matter. Because every single person is made in the image of God.
God created you. And let me say this. You were created for this. You were created for God's plan. He doesn't make junk.
He doesn't make mistakes. You think he does. That's why you're doing all that Botox, to try to make it look better. But God loves you just.
God loves you just the way that you are.
Man is made in God's image and, and likeness. The word image here is used and then likeness to show that that man is, is from God. He's made in his image, but he is not him.
He's created to reflect him, to represent, or I, I like that word, represent, or represent, to represent God. But you are not God.
Man is what one scholar wrote. Man is a dependent image bearer.
We're unique from all other life on the earth, but we bear his image. I mean, if you could get a hold of this this morning, and you, you put this down in the city of your soul, renew your mind that you are so special and so significant, and there's nothing in all of creation like you made in his image. Wow. You know, the fall of mankind, which I'll talk about a little bit later, was so significant. I don't think we really understand that.
One scholar, during the felling of some giant sequoia trees, he had the experience of walking the length of a giant sequoia that was felled. And he just kept walking and walking and walking. I mean, those are massive trees, ancient trees. And as he was about halfway through the length of this sequoia, he felt the Lord speak to him. And said when mankind fell, he had no idea how big it was.
Just like you can. Just like you're seeing how big this tree actually was. Mankind has no idea.
Mankind, man is made in God's image and likeness. And what's happened through secular humanism and sociological law and through the rewriting of the history of the world is revisionist. Everywhere there is a distortion. We have gotten a distorted view of reality because our value and who we. Who we are has been distorted.
See, because if you came from primordial slime or if you're a series of complex reactions that produced your life, then really there's no purpose in your life. There's no meaning that mankind doesn't mean anything. Oh, but if you're made in God's image and you're. And you. And you're made in his likeness, that you're his representative.
If that's true, then that changes everything. Then literally, you have a purpose. God's got a plan.
See, it's easier to take to kill a baby. It's easier to murder if you're just a byproduct of a series of reactions. Oh, but if you come from heaven and you're knit together by your creator, that puts inestimable worth and value on every single human life. And so what's. What they've done is they've tried.
They demonic agenda has tried to remove the word of God from the center of our lives, to push the church out into the outskirts. Just try to get us to be quiet and silent and as a result have reduced the value of mankind.
See, evolution is a dangerous demonic teaching because then the baby in the womb, it's really just series of chemicals and tissue and then the whole issue of viability.
No, we've got a distorted view of reality because our value of who we are has been distorted. I'm trying to correct the distortion this morning. I'm trying to help you to understand. God made you in his image. Come on, somebody shout amen.
Wow. And we're God's representatives to enforce his dominion in the earth. We're God's representatives to enforce his dominion in the earth. Were like a stamp.
I heard one, one preacher say it this way. The creation, when Adam was walking in the garden to be like, it's the Lord sword. Oh, no, it's. It's Adam.
Such a, such a representative.
His stamp, his proof that he exists. His enforcer.
Sacred. Come on, someone say we're sacred. Genesis 9. Turn there. It'll be on the screen as well.
Genesis 9, 6 Whoever shed man's blood by man, his blood shall be shed. For in the image of God, he made man. We're immortal. We're going to live forever. Where you're going to live is determined of whether you believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior or not.
The only thing that God can't forgive you of is not receiving his Son as the payment for your sin. You don't receive him, then judgment remains on you. But he became the propitiation. The wrath that was headed towards you and me was placed upon Jesus.
We're sacred. This is a good argument for capital punishment. And I said that in the first service. Kind of similar response to the now in the second. I believe in capital punishment and I believe in capital punishment based upon the Scriptures.
Problem is, big problem. Big problem is we make mistakes and. And courts make mistakes and there's judicial error. But someone who goes around murdering people, they can be forgiven. I also think.
I believe in capital punishment.
You don't have to say amen, but you should know what you believe. I believe that. I believe it based on Scripture. And if you don't believe that, just don't just keep coming. That's all right.
I'll try to convince you. Maybe later.
We have a choice. Another thing that we see here, he puts his tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
And of course, they eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, which is called the fall of man. We didn't read that section. But there they are, God's representatives. God walking with them in the cool of the day, and they disobey God. Some people think, man, if I just had everything around me that I needed, I wouldn't sin.
No, that's not true. No, that's not true at all. Because Adam and Eve had it all. They had everything. They were in a perfect.
A perfect world. But there is evidence of the. The first statement really of warfare, to tend and to keep. The word is shemar in the Hebrew, to tending, to keep the garden. Shemar, keep, pretend and keep is protect.
Now, what are you protecting the garden from? Weeds. The ultimate weeds. The devil, Lucifer. And you can go in and get into study.
I'm not going to go too deep on that. But there is a. There's an enemy in the garden. And God, from that verse is. We can conclude that there's an awareness that there's some trouble.
So heads up. Everybody say heads up. Well, they. They got bamboozled by the. The ugly one.
Old club foot, old slew foot. When he lies, he's speaking his native language. And they had a choice. I think that Adam had Eve as an idol. Really?
When she. When she's formed, he says, who, man? This is now bone of my. Oh. Oh.
You don't look like the cattle. No, no, no, no, no. You don't look like any bird either. You look. You look fine.
And so she eats and dies. And he's like, ah, shoot. He could have got a new one, I think. I don't know. I don't know.
Don't read too much into that. But I think he had an idol.
He could have repented. God could have helped him.
He ate. He ate with her, and they both died.
Come on, we have a choice. Everybody say we have a choice. All right, very simply this morning, God speaking to us, understand who you are as God's image bearer. Understand that. Now we're going to get into it a little bit, because, of course, you're made in his image and in his likeness.
You are not God, but there's aspects of who you are in your personhood that God has created you. That is like God. I mean, you can have a vision. Just think about, well, we're. We're in it.
This didn't exist. This building didn't exist. We dreamed, we prayed, we got an architect, we fired him, got another architect, and we had plans, we made revisions. We did all kinds of stuff. And.
And we dreamed. And as we dream, we began to take action. And you see a dream that was in the heart of your pastor and. And all of us really now manifested. You're.
You're. You're in something that we created by the grace of God. Can somebody say amen? That's an aspect of. Of being like God.
We can dream and create. It's amazing. Dogs can't do that. Go try. Come on.
Go try to find a cat to build a building for you.
Cats are like the fallen. Human nature. You feed them, and they think that you're worshiping them. You feed a dog, and then the dog knows that you're the master.
Understand? You are God's image bearer. And yet there's a challenge, and that's called sin. But as God's image, bear. Come on, say I'm.
I'm bear God's image. Say it. I bear God's image. Well, guess what? We all just said that.
And the truth is, you know, you don't only bear God's image. Every single person in here bears God's image. Which means. Which means prejudice and racism is basically prominent because people don't have not been taught who they are. Every single person from every tribe and tongue is made in God's image.
So you have no right, you have no right to be prejudiced against anybody. You know what I'm prejudiced against? Evil sin. We'll call that out every day. Doesn't matter.
But people. Yeah, I studying and I over this past week and I ran into some very difficult people. It's really helped me. No, really like that person who gone like they're made in God's image. They're made in God's image, they're made.
Prejudice is wicked, it's evil, and it's from the pit of hell. Being made in God's image and likeness is the basis for opposing abortion, which I already already took a swipe at. And I'm so thankful for the overthrowing of Roe versus Wade. Now may Alaska get on board and fix whatever needs to be fixed. We have some of the worst abortion laws.
End this pill, Lord. End this pill. This thing ended in Jesus name.
And let me say if. If you've been affected by abortion and any level, there's forgiveness, there's mercy. There's mercy and forgiveness and healing for you. I'll say that over the years of doing counseling, we've counseled thousands of people. And in doing counseling, some of the most broken people have been through the process of abortion because they carry that on their.
On their heart in such a way that they killed another human being. It is one of the most wicked things. But the enemy lies and he gets people confused. Why? There's thousands of homes that will adopt a baby in a moment.
And we have, we have systems and we know people that can help you with that. And then the whole, the whole system of adoption is rigged. You got to spend like 70 grand to adopt a child. There's systems. We have systems all the way around that to be able to.
You can go through adoption for a fraction of that. You decide to adopt, we can help you with that. Now being made in God's image and likeness is the basis for opposing abortion. Another thing you see here is this tending and keeping in the garden is a picture of being called to work. You're called to work.
Everybody say, get a job. Yeah, Work is sacred. Work is holy. Work is righteous. Work is of the Lord.
We're called to work. Everybody say we're called to work. Okay? Now if you're indigent, you can't. You're disabled.
I understand that. Other than that, get a job. Bible says in the New Testament, if you don't work. You don't eat. Don't be a.
Don't be a holy hobo.
Another thing here that I. That I see not on the screen, but this whole picture of having God's view for nature. John. Pardon me. Matthew 10:29.
He knows when a sparrow falls. That means he knows every sparrow.
He closed the lily of the field in Matthew 6:28 In Jonah, in the book of Jonah, chapter 4 and verse 11. God's concerned about cattle. Come on. Any ranchers out there? I love ranchers.
And the meat they put on my table. Hallelujah. Anybody seen any of that insanity about the ticks that are out there now and all kinds of craziness? I should probably move on.
We're called to work. We're called to be good stewards of our environment. But humans are more important than spotted owls. For God's sake. I missed a great place to say you're spotted.
What owl? Spotted owl. Tastes like chicken. We're called to be fruitful and multiply.
We're called to be fruitful and multiply. You know something that. Listen, I think the righteous. Righteous ought to have a lot of kids.
Knowing what I know now, we would have many more children.
Abraham and sarah.
I think the righteous ought to have a lot of kids. Did you know that Islam is slated. Although I think differently. But if you look at statistics that Islam is slated to take over the earth based on population growth alone. Alone.
Now, the church is far larger than you think. In fact. That's a great book. The church is bigger than you think it is. God's pouring out his spirit all over the earth.
But there's this whole argument about overpopulation. Overpopulation. The problem with that thought is that it thinks inside of a box. Listen, God's able to do all kinds of things in producing. Somebody said we're going to run out of food.
I'm sure there's an attack on food. Sure there is.
God's on the throne. Serve God. Don't get all bowed up and bent up and twisted and concerned and worried.
I've got a little prepping involved myself. I mean, you know, you never know what's going to happen. Maybe the barge doesn't come in. I mean, just based on the bridge alone. If that.
We lose the bridge to Anchorage, there's a problem. Problem?
Toilet paper being the main one.
It doesn't mean be dumb, but don't live in fear. Don't. Come on. Somebody say, don't live in fear.
Start talking about heirloom seeds and all kinds of Stuff. Good to be in Alaska, isn't it?
Turn to Colossians, chapter one.
Are you a conspiracy theorist, Pastor Daniel? No, but it is kind of unusual when a lot of the conspiracies come true. But I'm not going to live in fear. I refuse to live in fear. I will not live in fear.
I'm not going to worry about it. God created me. He made me. He's God's man. Say this.
Say. Say. God's man is God's responsibility. But you. The key is remaining God's man.
You gotta. Gotta do your part. You gotta work, you gotta serve. You gotta be a good steward. You gotta.
Amen. Colossians, chapter 1 and verse 9. For this reason also. Oh, this is so powerful. For this reason also, since the day we heard it.
Do not cease to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will. In all wisdom and spiritual understanding that you may walk worthy. Verse 10 of the Lord, fully pleasing him, Being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. That's what we're supposed to do. Be fruitful in every good work.
Increase in the knowledge of God. 11. Strengthen with all might. How much might? All might according to his glorious power.
Are you all with me? For all patience and long suffering. With joy. And giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us. Oh, my.
And giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed or translated us to the kingdom of the Son in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins. The Father who has quot. The Father who has qualified us. Years ago, when I was a wee lad, I was swimming in the Junior Olympics, and I was a half a length ahead of the rest of the competition.
And breaststroke, as I recall, and there I am, and I get to the wall, and I hit with one hand and then the second. And if you do that in swimming competition, you are disqualified. And I will never forget hitting that wall. And this man standing there, he said, oh, son, you're disqualified. And I broke.
I broke crying. I'm like, no, all those slower swimmers behind me.
Someone else got first place. I got disqualified.
God is the one who qualifies you. Yes, you're made in his image. If you didn't hear anything I said, all service. Listen close. Yes, you're made in God's image.
Yes, you're made in his likeness. He created you. He formed you. He made you he breathed into you a living being being. The spirit of the man is the lamp of the Lord, as the proverbs say.
Yes, but we're disqualified from our inheritance. We're disqualified from right relationship with our Creator. Why? Why are we disqualified, Pastor Daniel? Because of sin.
S I n. We're disqualified because sin is in the human heart, which I said earlier.
And we're disqualified because that sin condition is passed on from Adam and Eve, who originally chose to. To not obey the Lord. And that sin condition is passed down to all mankind. Yes. Made in God's image.
Yes. Separated from God. Actually dead. Until the Father made a provision for you. He made a provision for me.
What is the provision? That you can be qualified. How? It's right in the text. You put that scripture up.
It's qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance. Pay close attention on the screen. The saints of the light. He has delivered us from the power. He has delivered us from the power of darkness.
Delivered us. He delivered us. He delivered us. He brought us out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light. He conveyed us.
He. Another version says he translated us.
So here we are. And then we repent.
And you're over here. You get translated. You literally get brought from one king to the other. So everyone's made in God's image. Not everybody's in the kingdom of light.
Not every. Everybody's in the kingdom of heaven. Not everybody is. Not everybody's forgiven. You're forgiven based upon Jesus and His blood shed for you.
Shed for me. Come on. Somebody say praise the Lord, in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins. Listen closely to verse 15. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all, all creation.
Oh, my. Verse 16. For by him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on the earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through him, and for Him. You were created.
You were created through him, and you're created for him and you're separated until you receive his power. Payment for your sin. Why is this Even important? Verse 18. He is the head of the body in the church, who is the beginning of the firstborn from the dead.
And in all things he may have preeminence. Verse 19. For it please the Father, that in him all the fullness should dwell. Verse 20. And by him to reconcile all things to Himself, Reconcile reconciliation, to be made right to reconcile all things to Himself by Him, whether things are on earth or things in heaven.
Having made peace, lift your hands to Jesus. Having been made peace through his blood on the cross. You're redeemed, you're washed, you're. Oh, you're made in his image, but you're straight headed to hell, honey, until you receive peace. Made through his blood.
And in that moment, Come on, lift your hands to Jesus.
I have preached myself happy.
Come on. You were dead in your sins. And while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. You were headed to a devil's hell, but he redeemed you. He purchased you.
He made you. Yes, you're made in God's image, but you become his child when you're born again. And if you've not done that, you need to do that. You need to get right with God. You need to repent of your sin and believe on Jesus.
Why is that important? How are you going to fulfill the plan that God has if you're not right with Him? And you're still in the devil's kingdom? You're still in the kingdom of darkness and you think you can fulfill the kingdom of light? It's planned.
Yes. Made in his image. Separated because of sin. Satan wanted to destroy. Satan wanted to destroy the image of God and man.
He wants to destroy the image of God and man. That's what he does.
Second Corinthians. The wheels are down and we're on approach. Keys, please. But the God of this age. 2nd Corinthians 4:4.
But God of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. Wow. Whose minds the God of this age has blinded, who do not believe. People don't believe because they're blind.
Your uncle, your aunt, your brother, your sister. I'm not going to that church. I'm going to go to church. I'm not going to.
You're blind. Well, powerful prayer is, Lord. I take authority over every blinding assignment that would keep people from seeing who you really are. They don't believe because they're blind. Less lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who's the image of God, should shine on them.
Romans 8, For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. So watch the bouncing ball as I conclude you're made in God's image. You're made in God's likeness. Certainly all mankind is, no matter what their color, no matter where they come from, no matter what they believe, no matter what they believe, still made in God's image. Everyone, everyone, everyone.
That's why the unborn from conception to old age and the indigent old people matter. And they're just off somebody because they. They can't remember. They're made in God's image from. From conception.
It's not tissue. It's not complex reactions only. It's human beings made in God's image. We're all made in God's image. No matter what you believe, you're made in God's image.
Even if you believe you came from an ape, you still are wrong. And you're made in God's image. You're dumb, you need to be delivered. But you're made in God's image. You, one day, I pray, realize it.
But you're separated from the plan of God. What, what eliminates the separation by believing that Jesus, see, sin came through the world through one man and left through another. The last Adam or the second Adam, his name is. His name is Jesus. His name is Jesus.
He's the last Adam. There's no third. Adams is the last one. As sin entered the world through one man, sin left through another for all who believe. That's why you can be conveyed.
That's why you can be translated out of darkness into the kingdom of the sun. That requires salvation.
But salvation is not, not just about where you're going, it's about who you're becoming.
It bothers me theologically when I hear people preach in churches across the land, across the world, believe on Jesus and you get to go to heaven. It is so much more than just heaven. I don't want to like diminish that. That's powerful. But if you were supposed to just go to heaven, bro, you, you'd croak the second you received Jesus.
So here we are. Most of us, I believe, have received the Lord. And if you haven't, we'll remedy that in just a moment. But it's about who you're becoming to be conformed into the image of Christ. It's not just in the image of God.
We're made now we're to be conformed into the perfect man. Or for those of you that know the scriptures, the teleos. Man being made perfect like Christ. That's amazing. That's what God.
That's a process of sanctification that's becoming more like him. Daily reckoning the death and life of Christ in your life and then living that out day in day. Out becoming more like Jesus. Listen, everything you're going through. Can I preach in here?
Everything you're going through is forming you and fashioning you by the design of God to become more like Jesus. You were created for this. Come on, lift your hand and say it. I was created. Come on, say I was.
I was created for this. Put your hands together for Jesus.
So you're going to fulfill God's plan. But you had to get your identity right. Identity theft is rampant everywhere, especially in the body of Christ. Most people have no clue.
You need to listen to this message again. Then do it. Listen to it again and again and again. There's over a hundred New Testament scriptures that talk about your identity in Christ. It is the basis for moving forward in God's plan.
You'll never flow in the gifts of the spirit if you think it's just some special thing that God does on special people. Yeah, the special people's you. But if you don't really understand and settle God's love for you in this new creation that you are to into any man be in Christ. He's a new creation. The old is gone and the new has come.
You don't understand that the greater one lives on the inside of you. Deity inside of humanity. Come on. We are his house. He dwells on the.
We're the temple, the Holy Spirit. They can use you with power.
I feel like I'm rambling a little bit. I just so want you to get it.
Jesus printed upon the hearts of your people with every head bowed, every eye closed, nobody moving around, please. You want to give your heart to Jesus for the first time. You want to make a recommitment to him because you drifted in your commitment. So you know you need to come back. You return to your first love.
Or perhaps you just want to be sure that you're saved. You say, that's me. Wonderful. You want to give your heart to Jesus first time. Want to make a recommitment to him.
You want to be translated out of darkness into the kingdom of the sun of his love. I want to be forgiven of your sin. You want heaven to be your home. But not just having your home. You want to live the abundant life now, right here.
You want that he has it for you. But you must be conveyed. You must be translated. You must be forgiven. If that's you, on account of three, slip your hand up.
1, 2, 3. Do it right now. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you.
Hands going up all over. Lift your hand high. God bless you. God bless You. God bless you.
God bless you. God you bless. Bless you. My goodness. God bless you.
Lift your hand high. Unashamed. He hung naked for you on a cross. You can lift a hand for him. You're going to live for him.
God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you.
Wonderful. Wonderful. Stand up on your feet all across this place. Pray this with me. If you raised your hand or you didn't pray this prayer with me, you know I'm going to take it a step further.
I don't always do this. Frequently we do. But if you raised your hand or you didn't, you know, you need you. You meant business with God. You want to be forgiven.
You're declaring that Jesus is your Lord and Savior and you're going to live for him. I'm going to invite you in just a moment to meet me right here. And it's not joining this church, it's joining the church. And I have a theory based upon the scripture where Jesus said, if you acknowledge me before men, I'll acknowledge you before my Father in heaven. But if you deny me, I will deny you.
Now. Bracing your hand is certainly an acknowledgment, and I understand it just might be too much. It requires courage. I get it. But if you raised your hand or you didn't and you got the courage to make it up here right now, you come right now, meet me right here.
We're going to pray together. And then I'll. Then we'll close. Come on. Put your hand.
Church. Put your hands together for these. Come on. Come. Come on.
Meet me right here. Come. Come on. We're going to pray together. Come from all.
All over. If you raise your hand, or you didn't just come all the way up front, Church, you ought to just put your hands together and go crazy. Come on. People being translated out of darkness today. People being translated into the kingdom of light.
Come on. Come on. There's room for you. There's room for you. There's room for you.
There's more. There's a few more. Come on up. We'll wait for you. We'll wait for you.
There's room for you. You need to recommit. Come right now. Don't stop clapping, Church. Come on.
Encourage them. Come on. It's the greatest miracle that can happen. Wonderful Jesus.
Just a moment longer will wait for you. I'm glad you're coming.
Bow your head, close your eyes. Pray with me right out loud. Repeat after me. Say, dear Heavenly Father, thank you for sending your son Jesus, to die on a cross for my sin.
I believe he rose again from the grave.
And I ask you today to forgive me for everything I've ever done wrong.
Come into my heart. Wash me, cleanse me. Translate me now out of darkness into the kingdom of light. Thank you that I'm made in your image. And thank you that sin which separated me has now been removed.
Because of your death and my repentance, I receive you.
Thank you for loving me. Thank you for hearing my prayer. Lift your hands to heaven, Holy Spirit. Let your fire come. Let your power come.
Break every chain, break every bondage. Let your power come upon these. I pray for healing for those who've gone through great challenges in life such that I've even been preaching and talking about. I pray healing. I pray for healing of broken hearts.
I pray that every curse be shattered, every chain broken. That these now take their place in the kingdom of God for the purpose, not just of going to heaven, but of being your representative to represent you, O God, in the earth. He would take dominion and power through our actions, through our voting, through the way that we live.
That'll affect all of society. Thank you for what you've done. Fill them full of your spirit right now, in Jesus name, put your best hand clap together for God.
Well, I hope you were encouraged by God's word. Thank you again for listening to King's Alaska podcast. God bless you. For more great content, go to kcalaska. Com and may God's face shine upon you and give you peace.
