Welcome to King’s Community Emergency Response Team
King’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is a group of dedicated volunteers trained to assist in emergency situations when professional responders may not be immediately available. We are part of a nationwide initiative to build stronger, more resilient communities.
Our volunteers have logged over 470 volunteer hours in 2024 as of May 13, 2024.
Our Mission
- To provide immediate assistance to our neighbors in times of crisis.
- To support local emergency services in their efforts to save lives and protect property.
- To educate our community about emergency preparedness and safety.
What We Do
Training: Our team members undergo training in first aid, search and rescue techniques, fire safety, and disaster psychology.
Response: In the event of an emergency, we are ready to deploy and provide vital support to those in need. We are activated by the local Emergency Operations Center.
Education: We offer free training courses and workshops to help community members prepare for and respond to emergencies effectively.
