The Mercy that Preserved David

The Mercy that Preserved David

David stood on the edge of a decision that would have destroyed his future. In a moment of anger and grief, he was ready to take matters into his own hands. But God stepped in.

In this message, “The Mercy that Preserved David,” Pastor Daniel walks through 1 Samuel 25 and shows how God uses people, correction, and wisdom to stop us before we make costly mistakes. Through the story of Abigail, we see what mercy looks like in action and how a humble, teachable heart keeps us aligned with God’s plan.

You will learn why pain can cloud your judgment, why you need people who speak truth into your life, and how staying humble, open, and responsive to correction protects your calling.

This message will challenge you to slow down, listen, and recognize the mercy of God working in your life before it is too late.

Hi, this is Pastor Daniel Bracken. You're listening to Kings Alaska Podcast. I hope the Word encourages you and you get a touch from God that brings transformation and equips you to experience life with people, power and purpose. Thank you for joining us. Enjoy the Word.

Would you stand with me? First Samuel, chapter 25. Let's get into tonight's Word.

Then Samuel died. Oh my. Then Samuel died and the Israelites gathered together and lamented for him and buried him at his home in Rama. And David arose, went down to the wilderness of Paran. Let's pray.

Father, thank you. Move in power in Jesus name. Amen. May be seated.

He goes down to this wilderness and you see this story of a man by the name of Nabal. Nabal means fool. And this incredible woman of God, her name is. Anybody know?

So let me encourage you. Read through the life of David. Read through the life of David. These verses, read them. You can see on the screen.

First and second Samuel, first and second Kings. Read through the life of David. Familiarize yourself with it. So when we get to it, it just has greater depth and meaning for you.

Verse 2. There was a man, some business in Carmel. The man was very rich. He had 3,000 sheep, 3,000 goats. He was shearing his sheep and Carmel.

The man's name was Nabal. What was his name? Nabal. Verse 3.

And the name of his wife was Abigail. She was a woman of good understanding and beautiful appearance. How many of you know that beauty is skin deep, but ugly goes straight to the bone.

But the man was harsh and evil in his doings. He was a house of Caleb. He said the house of Caleb, Caleb was a. Had a spirit. Caleb and Joshua had a different spirit than the rest.

So something went wrong between in the house of Caleb. Here to produce a Nabal.

He's evil.

It's interesting when you look at women in scripture. In fact, Proverbs 11 and verse 22, Solomon, he said, a ring of gold and a swine snout. So as a ring of gold and a swine snout. So as a lovely woman who lacks discretion. You missed a great place to say Amen.

I had you recently read with me. First Peter, chapter three, verse three. It says, don't let your outward adornment be mere. Don't let your adornment be merely outward arranging of hair, wearing gold, putting on fine apparel. Verse 4.

Let it be the hidden person of the heart with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and a quiet spirit. She was like that which is very precious in the sight of. In the sight of God. For in this manner. Verse 5, 1st Peter 3, verse 5.

For in this manner in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves. I remember my daughter, I don't know how old she was, they wanted to give her. Her and her mother got together, since Pastor Karen is not in the room right now, got together and made a plan to get earrings, ear piercings, which I was against. And so in their discussions, they won. Except I made them.

Them, her specifically, my daughter made my daughter memorize that scripture. Because if you try to beautify yourself with something other than that which God calls beautiful, it's not beautiful at all. It's just tinsel on a nasty tree.

Lift your hands to Jesus. All across this place. Hallelujah. Oh my goodness. That didn't come out all that right.

That might be one of those things I have to repent for later on when I'm at home.

Inner beauty. Samuel's dead and I believe that David is grieving. You say, why is that even significant? Because of what David does here. David.

I'm shocked, actually, when you read through this. Shocking.

Nabal and the shearers. David's men protect them in the verses that follow.

And then Nabal basically says that there are a bunch of escaped slaves.

And David gets so angry.

Here, look at verse 10. David. Then Nabal answered, David, the servant said, who is David? Who's the son of Jesse? Like nobody knows who he is.

He killed Goliath. He's a pride filled, arrogant man. Nabal, he's a fool. He's a biblical fool. There are many servants nowadays, Nabal says, who break away each from his master.

Shall I then take bread and my water and my meat that I've killed for my shears and give it to men who I don't know where they're from? He knew full on where he was from. He was cheap, he was greedy, and he was ungrateful. Verse 12. So the young.

So David's young men turned their heels and went back and they came and told him all his deeds. So David said to him, every man gird your sword. Every man girded his sword. And David also girded his sword and about 400 men with him and 200 stayed with the supplies. Verse 14.

A young man told Abigail, Nabal's wife, look, David sent messengers. And David basically makes a pledge. I'm going to kill him. I mean, it's shocking to me. Why is that shocking?

Because he's right. He's running for his life and he's. He's from pillar to post. And he has no mercy, has no grace. He's like, let's kill him.

It. He's triggered. I believe it's because he's grieving. You know, when you go through stuff, when you go through trauma and you go through pain, you need to slow down, pump your brakes. Anybody know what that means?

I don't think they have ABS brakes now, but back in the day, you would pump your brakes to get greater pressure on them. Now I think you just apply pressure.

Remember pumping my brakes and my brother's 1969 Chevelle to get greater, greater brake pressure. When you go through things like David has gone through, he's been hunted. He's going from pillar to post. He's got 3,000 men. He's not with his wife.

He's living in a cave. He's. He's being accused of someone who's trying to usurp the throne. Even though God has called him to take the throne, he has to wait for God to fulfill it. He could have taken things into his own hands, but he doesn't.

He. He doesn't take things into his own hands. Even though every, every one of his men were like, this is the Lord. He put this demonized king right in front of you. Now kill him.

Let us kill him. And he says, I'll not touch God's anointed. Except he had repent for cutting the robe. He says, I shouldn't even have done that. And he's got all of this pressure.

When you're going through things, slow down and thank God for the Abigails that'll come and talk you out of it. Thank God for the pastor. Karen's pastor. Karen has talked me down from ministering to some people in a special way. Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

When you're going through difficulty and you're going through pain, you're going through trial, you're going through disappointment, you're going through a waiting period where you're tired of waiting.

It can be. It can be tough. And God sends this woman, Abigail, who is beautiful in spirit, more than. Than she was in her natural mercy, this mercy gift of mercy. And isn't even like David did anything.

God just set up this Abigail to go and talk him out of it. And her. Her story of her appeal. Abigail's appeal for reconciliation is absolutely amazing. She's a peacemaker.

Blessed are the peacemakers. She's a peacemaker. If you think about what David was going to do, he was going to violate God's law and he was going to basically end up on the wrong side of heaven on this one. And he was going to kill all of the males. I mean I didn't read the text, but he's going to kill all of the men.

He made a vow, may God do so and more to those enemies of David. I mean, he's just so angry. Oh, he's so angry. Just lost it.

Abigail rides and verse 23, Abigail saw David so she dismounted quickly from the donkey, fell on her face. It's the first thing she does. Let me teach you about making an appeal.

An appeal.

The first thing you want to do when you're making an appeal is you want to go low.

Has anybody ever had an amazing appeal? You, you want to talk to somebody or an entreaty, a younger man entreats an older man or an older person. What does that mean to entreat? It means you don't come up and just demand your own way. You come with respect, you come with honor.

It's this picture of just go of going low. I, when I, when God raised us up, we were 31 years old, I think is when we really first started flowing in public ministry. 30, 31, which is biblical.

I was pastoring people that were old, a lot older than me. I was leading people on teams that were older than me and, and some of those folks really had, in their mind, at least by my estimation of things, felt like maybe they would have stepped over, they were stepped over. You know, God will step over someone who's seemingly qualified and pick someone who's like a David. He'll pick, he'll pick someone whose heart is right. I can't say that my heart is 100% right, but I was hungry and thirsty and desperate for God.

I was passionate for the Lord and wanted to reach the lost and, and Dr. Barocco gave me a shot. I, I, I don't even know how that happened. It's a, it's a miracle. And in that process I had people that weren't so happy about it.

I remember having learning to entreat people. I've had Dr. Morocco, who's still my pastor, make decisions and give me, give me marching orders that I didn't particularly care for. And so obviously non public and with great respect, I learned to do this, I learned to entreat. Now he wasn't heading off to kill a group of men. Obviously it's just a matter of opinion about what, which way you think would be right.

She comes and she bows low she bow she gets off her donkey, she. She goes low. She makes this wise appeal to David.

Look at verse 24. So she fell at his feet. It said, on me, my Lord, on me. Let this iniquity be. And please let your maidservant speak in your ears.

I mean, there's this brokenness and this humility. Please do not let the Lord rid this scoundrel Nabal, for his name is so. He is Nabal. By his name, Folly is with him. But I, your servant, did not see the young men of my Lord whom you sent.

Now therefore, my Lord, as the Lord lives and as your soul lives, since the Lord has held you back from coming to bloodshed and from avenging yourself with your own hand, now then, let your enemies and those who seek harm for my Lord be as Nabal. The words had to pierce David. It brought correction to him. He's kept you from bloodshed. He could have just killed the king.

What happened to him? Well, his pastor died, the prophet died, the. The Samuel's gone. The one who called him is gone. He's living in a cave.

His wife is back in the palace, and he's distressed and he's gone to the place where he's about to totally destroy his life. God would not have been able to elevate him, in my view, would not have been able to elevate him as king if he murdered all those people.

Thank God for the mercy. Come on, someone. Thank God for mercy. Thank God for mercy. The mercy of God.

This appeal.

David received this appeal. Look at verse 32, verse 28. Please forgive this trespass.

Then David said to Abigail, blessed is the Lord God of Israel who sent you this day to meet me. See, that's what I love about David. That's the thing about David, that's amazing. He's teachable. He's not an arrogant idiot.

He's teachable. He can hear truth. And he's like, oh, I did it again. I blew it again. And he.

And he retunes. If you're teachable, if you're humble, broken, transparent.

If you remain hot, everybody say, remain hot, honest, open and transparent. If you remain honest, open and transparent, God below is use you. I've said to you many times over the years, humble, broken and transparent. Because that's what Dr. Morocco said to me when I was in my late 20s, standing in an altar, weeping, telling him I've. My brain is strange.

I need some help. And I would just call, you know that I still do that. My brain's not as strange as it used to. Be. But sometimes I get a little weird.

Anybody else? Sometimes I need some extra prayer.

And if you've been a part of this church for any length of time, I'll tell you that I get criticized for being, like, overly transparent. I've been criticized for being, you know, just, you know, you could hold some of that back. I am holding some of it back.

And I've had people tell me, you know, I really appreciate that because it's, it's. Listen, always remember this. Every evangelist, every pastor, every powerful man and woman of God puts their pants on one leg at a time.

And all of us go through things. All of us have issues. We all have to deal with our flesh. Everyone has to deal with pride. Everyone has to deal with self.

And so Dr. Morocco says to me, listen, Daniel, if you remain humble, broken and transparent, God will always use you. Do you hear me? I said, yes. It was like God wrote on the tablet of my heart. And so people who've come out of my testimony, which I am not going to share my whole testimony tonight, but people who've come out of the kind of life that God delivered me out of, they don't usually make it.

I am going to finish my. Come on, say, I'm going to finish my race. I'm going to finish my race. I've purpose to do it. I have every intention of doing it.

I'm not going to backslide. I'm going to stay humble and broken, but by the power of God. And I married Abigail.

Her name is Karen.

And you are a great blessing.

I'm so thankful. I would not be here without you. No, like some of you guys don't get it. She's sweet and everything. That's the side you see.

She's a whole other side.

She has spiritual kung fu that you know not of.

And you need spiritual kung fu to deal with someone like me. I, I, I'm, I'm, I didn't hear that. But, but you might need to repent. Come on, lift your hands. I'm intense.

And so is everybody else that's going to do anything. You're going to have to have a fire. You got to have a passion. And David was like that, but he was about to totally destroy his calling. About to totally destroy the prophetic word from the prophet who's now dead.

Thank God for mercy. Thank God for mercy. You know, you need to surround yourself with not yes men and women. You need to surround yourself with people that tell you, you got a bat in the cave, son. Right there.

You need to pick that thing out right now. You don't really. I'm just saying.

How many of you know what a bat in a cave is? A booger. So when you have a booger. Come on. If you have something hanging out of your nostril, don't you want somebody to love you enough to tell you?

Brock, I remember being in the airport. The most dignified lady came out of the bathroom. I mean, she was dressed to the nines. Your Louis Vuitton bag and everything. She's just that giant string of toilet paper following her like a train.

The train of her robe was this piece of toilet paper.

I went to go tell her, which was going to be ugly, but somebody had to do it. And then somebody got to her before I did. I'm like, oh, God, help. Help that woman.

Oh, my goodness. Thank God for Abigails. It'll tell you, you have toilet paper hanging out your shorts.

Thank God for people. Surround yourself with people that'll speak truth to you and listen if you don't like it. You need to grow up. How dare you? What do you mean, how dare you?

Am I my brother's keeper? What is the answer to that? Yes. Yes, you are. Now, there are some people that think they're the fourth part of the Trinity.

Want to tell you how you should comb your hair or grow your hair or get a wig or, you know, like, get away from me.

There's a lot of people that want to tell you how you should do it, what you should do. I get more advice and I'm. You know what?

Praise the Lord.

Lift your hands to Jesus. Thank you, Abigail. Praise the Lord. Come on, somebody say, praise the Lord.

Wow.

It really is this Jesus gift.

All right. Verse 32.

And David said to Abigail, bless the Lord God of Israel who sent you this day to meet me. And blessed is your advice, and blessed are you because you've kept me this day from coming to bloodshed and from avenging myself. Avenging myself? You can't read that. At least I can.

And not refer back to when you're being mistreated. That you're going through things.

It's. It's mine to avenge, says the Lord. Some of you have taken up your own cause, and you're going to hunt them down and kill them yourself. And I will tell you, it will torment you. It will shut down your heart from walking in vibrance before the Lord.

You just. Some people need to be corrected and sued. I said that some people need to be sued. No doubt. But more often than not, we need to Just leave it in the hands of the Lord and just trust God.

And turn the other cheek. And then turn the other cheek. And keep turning if you're out of cheek. Start over.

Abigail's actions. She assumes responsibility for her husband. She brings his gift.

Look at verse 36. Look what happens to the fool. Now, we don't wish this on anybody, but I have found that if you'll just take your hands off it, God will put his hands on it.

Verse.

36. Now, Abigail went to Nabal, and there he was holding a feast in his house, like the feast of a king. And Nabel's heart was merry within him, for he was very drunk. Therefore, she told him nothing, little or much until morning light. So it was in the morning when the wine had gone from Nabal and his wife had told him these things, that his heart died within him and he became like stone.

He, like, had a stroke or something. And it happened after about 10 days that the Lord struck Nabal and he died. Now, listen, if you're wishing death on somebody, you need. You need healing.

When their disciples are walking with Jesus, and they said, should we call fire down on those guys? And he says, I mean, I love the faith. Let's. Should we smoke them right there? He says, like, you don't know what spirit you're of.

But I like the fact that they believe that they could call fire down. I do like that part.

The Lord smote him and he died. And again, we don't wish that on anybody. But you can't live the life of a fool and not end up cursed. It is the way it is. And I've seen things.

I've been serving God a long time. Maybe not as long as some of you. Maybe longer than others. You can't mock God. You cannot continue to sow to the wind and not reap the whirlwind.

And if you're listening, if you're here and you're a Nabal today and you're continuing to get drunk and smoke weed and declare the glory of God and your pride and all that, and you think that you. You don't stink, you're mistaken. May I be an Abigail to you? You need to snap out of it, because you just don't know. This could be your last day.

Come on. Smile at me. I want to. I want to be like an Abigail. I want to.

I want to stand in the way of someone who's on the road to destruction. And I'm so glad for those who've done that for me. I've Been sorely rebuked. Sometimes I needed it, other times I was just. People were jealous and getting angry at me.

Sometimes I perceived I needed it, other times I didn't perceive I needed it. And I did. I mean, there's a com. I mean, you just take everything to God in prayer. He's got.

Oh, God. Oh, Lord. Abigail, come on. Someone say, stay hot. Humble, open, transparent.

Who are you humble, open and transparent with who holds your shut up card?

Who loves you enough and is not afraid of hurting your feelings to tell you to sit down and zip it.

Well, David, he likes a girl, so he marries her. David verse 30.

39B. David sent proposal to Abigail. Take care of this, his wife. When the servants of David came to Abigail at Carmel, they spoke to her saying, david has sent us to you and asked you to become his wife. So she arose, bowed her face to the earth.

I mean, this girl got delivered from a jerk.

She was married to a fool. Now, don't try to pray this over your husband. Don't try to pray it over your wife. But there is a principle that if you'll just love God with all your heart and keep doing the right thing, that God will bless you even if he has to remove from some people. And again, don't hear me incorrectly.

We don't pray for someone to die. We pray for them to change. But a powerful prayer that I've prayed and I learned it from my pastor, is this, Lord, change them or remove them. Now we'll say remove is up to whatever the Lord wants to do. And I've seen people sent to the far side of America completely out of my hair.

If I had any.

You can't pray once you get married. That's it. Although there are reasons for divorce. I've been divorced, sort of throw that in.

I got married when I was 21.

Very broken man. And I deserved that divorce. She divorced me and she should have done it sooner.

Then I got gloriously saved.

And knowing the scriptures, I felt like I had to go try to put that back together. This is going to help someone here. So I did. I went to go try to put it back together. I think I almost got killed, certainly.

And in that was completely released and went on to become what I thought would be like the Apostle Paul, filled with the Holy Ghost. Never needed to have a wife, never needed to be married again. Was just like on fire. I thought that's like totally impossible because how are you going to get rid of lust and all that thought it's a problem. I got totally Set free.

And after I got set free, God gave me you. One of the greatest gifts I've ever gotten. The very greatest gift I ever gotten is salvation. The next greatest gift was you.

I didn't have to need to. You know, you try to get married to get rid of your lust problem. It doesn't work. I got totally set free, fell in love with Jesus more than anything. And at that point he said, ah, son, now you're ready to be a husband.

I'm like, turn around and look at your bride. I turned around and there she was.

And I got remarried.

It's really the amazing, most amazing miracle God's ever done. Then I tried to become a Assembly of God minister, but they told me, they told me since I was divorced, I couldn't do that. And I said, well, don't they believe in new creation? My God, Dr. Bronco said, don't worry, I have another way for you. Made a way for me.

Then they assemble, God, change their mind. I don't know what else they're going to change their mind on, but I'm just so grateful to be married and be loving God and be in full time ministry serving the Lord, credentialed. Glory to God. Somebody say hallelujah. Just in the midst of your challenge, we review back over this.

Keys, please. Minister Micah, Heidi, Minister Heidi, would you review back over this? David's grieving. He's still on the wrong pillar to post to pillar to post. 3,000 men hunting him down.

He's grieving, he's gone through trauma. His pastor, his prophet who called him, is dead and he ends up about to destroy his life. And God had mercy by sending him Abigail to keep him from bloodshed. It's a beautiful picture of the grace and the mercy of God. And it's also a beautiful picture of someone staying hot, honest, open, transparent.

Because David didn't have to listen to her.

I said David didn't have to listen. He understood the truth and he understood what she was saying was true. And he humbled himself and God took care of the rest and set Abigail free from the idiot Nabal. There's so much here. Won't you lift your hands all across this place?

I didn't preach long to you, but I hope it was strong to you, Father. Thank you.

Going to say if you're married to Nabal, but I'm not going to do that. Okay, Nabal. That would be the female version.

Let me, let me see what the Holy Spirit would have us do right now. Come on. Just pray in the Holy Ghost, I want to pray. The Lord wants me to pray for those who are going through trauma. You're going through grief and sorrow.

I want to pray for you.

Just stand right where you are. You're going through something heavy, and you realize this might be affecting my judgment. Lift your hands to Jesus.

Holy Spirit.

Come on. You call. Cry out to God right now. Cry out to God right now, Father. Thank you, Lord.

These that are standing need your grace. I need your. Your peace that you would guard over their hearts. Lord. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Lord, comfort them now. Release your power right now. Those that have been blocked.

It's the power of God.

You are an Abigail.

It's time.

Lord says it's time.

Lord. Touch these all across.

Pastors, would you just go. Pastors, please, would you just go and agree with these. See the power of God all over her sister right there.

Lord, let your power come.

Would you sing something, Minister Heidi? Healing is here.

Holy Spirit. Touch right now. Healing is he be healed. The sorrow, the grief, the sighing flee away. He's here.

Holy spirit. Thank you.

Can I pray for you, too? Would you just both step out here? Come here, sweetheart. Come. Pastor Carol, would you come?

Even in the hearing of a portion of my testimony, it brought hope.

My gosh. If. If God could do it for him, he could do it. Do it for me.

The Lord is coming upon you. I don't know if you're friends or sisters. I. I mean, I don't know, but. But you both are finding comfort in your friendship. And more than that, you're finding comfort in the Lord.

There's been an assignment on your families. That is that which is an attempt to destroy, to kill, separate, to divide. Bring deep sorrow.

I see. Like a mantle of grief that's been generational. I mean, it's just like one thing after another, after another, and after another. It's like the enemy has come so hard that it's almost been grafted into your DNA. It's like a generational sorrow.

The Lord says to you, tonight, my daughters, I'm reversing the curse. I'm releasing my power, and I'm setting you free.

Be free.

Even an assignment of death, it leaves you.

You will never be the same. Make this place your second home.

Make the house of the Lord your first home. He will elevate you and he will raise you up. Go on, Minister Heidi.

Freedom's here.

Freedom's here.

My freedom is here.

And I receive it.

Yes, freedom is here.

Freedom is here.

Whole freedom is here.

And I receive it.

Oh, yes, healing is here.

He lives here.

He lays here.

And I receive it.

I receive it.

Oh, I receive it.

Wash over me. Wash over me.

Living water flow.

Just let the Lord touch you. Okay, maybe you're not standing, maybe you're not grieving, but God spoke to you through the message. Just receive right now. Receive right now. Receive right now.

Receive right now.

Receive it.

Yes, I receive it.

Lord, touch Leila right now.

Leila was one of our very first life group leaders.

And her husband's gone to be with the Lord just, just a few weeks ago.

He's entered into his reward. Lord, bring about justice even through the failure of modern medicine and those who did not do their due diligence. Lord, I pray for restitution even though nothing replace your husband.

I see the glory of the Lord entering your home. I see the glory of the Lord coming and entering your home and filling your house, filling your heart. You're going to find yourself being awakened even in the night by the angel of the Lord. He's releasing his healing power upon you physically. You're going to enter into this all new passion for him.

And strength comes to every part of your life. Strength comes to your physical body, to your heart, to your emotions, your joints, your vital organs.

Father, thank you for this precious woman of God. Touch her now.

I want to move on. As I feel led of the spirit, I'll move on. And I want to pray that you would have relationships in the house where you would be able to hear a loving. Shut up and respond. Listen, I've had people.

I've had people come over the years. It breaks my heart. It breaks my heart because they come over the years. Over the years of being your pastor. I've been here almost 20 years.

And over those time period, we'll have people that come and you try to help them and they're like, oh. And they leave and they go to some other church only to run the same cycle that takes them five or six years to run it through again. And they do the same thing. And if they have a loving pastor that's going to speak truth to them, they're not hot, they're not honest, they're not open, and they're not transparent. I'm not here to control you.

I'm here to lead you to the one who leave. Bless your life. But I've had. I've had folks who just. Just throw off the yoke.

Oh, who are you to tell me, listen, the last thing I'm going to do is try to Control you. Truth is, I don't even get up in anybody's business like that unless we're very close. And you're one of my leaders and you've already submitted to the authority. This has lots of people come. I'm not here to be control you.

I'm here to teach you about the one who will lead your life. Not going to pick your wife, pick your husband. Not going to pick the color of your couch or the color of your house. Not going to do any of that. The Lord will lead you.

The Lord will guide you. I'm going to teach you about the one who will lead you into everlasting and give you a life of blessing and hope and strength. That's my job. That's what I'm going to do. I'm here to equip you.

You're the one who has to take it. But in that process of becoming a leader, I mean, I've had people, Jesus.

Said to myself, why won't they listen?

And the Lord says, they don't listen to me either.

It's in scripture.

Listen, don't have your kid. Can I just say this? Sure. Okay, I will. Don't put your kids over at someone else's house to have a sleepover.

It is not 1940.

My people, I've had to help. And we'll help them. And they won't listen to what I'm saying, and we'll help them again. And we'll ever be here helping and serving you as we serve the Lord with all our hearts. You don't have sleepovers anymore.

The reason you don't have sleepovers is people are defiled in a way that has not been in history.

We don't have. We don't have camps where we sleep over anymore. Mostly where there's some exceptions with leaders and proper structure. You don't have sleepovers because you know how often when people have sleepovers that their kids end up getting molested? Other kid molested by other kids, Molested by the uncle that showed up in the middle of the night.

He was supposed to be at the Slope, but he came back a week early and nobody knew. And he found. I don't even want to talk about it. It makes me want to get sick. And yet I still have people.

Oh, yeah, no, they were over at someone's house. Are you dumb? How many times I gotta say it, Pastor? How many times I gotta say that? Pastors like, whoa.

Pastor Karen's like, whoa, horsey. I'm not a horsey. Stallion. Maybe. But.

Yes, Abigail, don't say dumb. Lacking intelligence and discernment. That's dumb to me. But anyway, lacking intelligence and discernment, you can tell I feel passionate about it. I just hope that somehow, as I crack that passion just a little bit, it wakes you up so you don't do it.

So we don't have to help you after the fact. Want to help you before.

Lift your hands to Jesus.

Pastor Kimmy, you come and you lead us in prayer for our children. You lead us in prayer. Prayer for families right now. Come on, lead us in prayer. Abigail wanted David over and saved him from bloodshed.

Come on, pray. Pray. Pray for strong marriages and. And wives and husbands. Go for it.

Go for it. Go for it. Would you pray? Come on, begin to pray for your family right now. That's it.

Lord, we cry out to you for mercy. We cry out to you for wisdom. Your word declares in James that if any man lacks wisdom, he should ask of the Lord who gives freely without finding fault. But when he asks, he should not doubt, or he'll be like a wave tossed by the wind. God, we need your wisdom to parent our children.

We need your divine guidance and discernment. We need to be led by the Holy Spirit to lead our families into righteousness, to stand guard over our children. Oh, over our households, to set the boundaries of God. I pray right now over the marriages that, Lord, the husband and wife would be as one, that they would be in agreement, a united front, leading their family into righteousness, into holiness. I ask you right now that you would gird them with strength by the Holy Ghost.

I pray that they would not be afraid to discipline their children in the Lord and with love, that they would. Would not be afraid to set boundaries and standards and righteous living in their home. I ask you right now, set their homes ablaze with the Holy Spirit. I pray for the convicting power of the Holy Spirit to enter our homes. That God, we would not allow wickedness an inch in our homes.

We would not allow defilement to be coming. Jesus, on the TV screens, on the devices. But that God, you would raise up the families of this house to set a standard of righteousness in their homes, in their personal lives. There would be no room. Oh, God, hallelujah.

No room for the enemy in Jesus finding it. We agree. Amen. Amen. Put hands on your own heart right now.

Come on, pray and ask that God would help you to be hot, humble, open, transparent. God, we ask that you would help us to be that way.

We would ever remain, no matter what we Walk through no matter what trial and difficulty. Pillar to post as David was living in a cave.

Rejected.

Lord, we would remain teachable. We would be able to hear your voice when you speak to us. We're on the way to destruction. Or on the way to that which would lead us away from your plan. Bloodshed, blood, guilt.

Help us.

Keep us. Come on, say. Say. Lord, keep me, Lord, keep me.

Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Here it is. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Lift your hands to Jesus. Keep us from evil.

Would you stand Just talk to him moment longer. Just talk to Jesus. You have the freedom to pray in your heavenly language tonight. Go ahead and do it.

Come on. Lift your voice. Lift your voice. At home, in the Philippines, in India, wherever you are, lift your voice. Lift your voice before the throne of God.

Worship him.

Worship him. Worship him.

Why are there quarreling and arguing amongst you? Says James. Is it not because of your own evil desires?

Let the Lord bring peace upon your home and upon your heart.

Repent, says Pastor Karen.

Repent for where you've been in pride, where you've been angry, where you've been drunk and you've been a fool. Repent for it. Stop. Stop it. You know, alcohol never give you what you're looking for.

Relationship. A personal relationship can never truly satisfy your deepest needs. Listen, close personal relationship can never satisfy your deepest needs. The only one who can satisfy your deepest needs is the Lord.

You get that right. And relationships fall right in line.

My wife is a great wife.

It's because she loves God way more than me. So she's able to die to herself and serve me and help me. I'd like to think I'm a good husband. She tells me I am. I have to repent a lot.

I love the Lord way more than my wife. And as a result, we. We can then be Christlike to each other. Without that, you can't be Christlike. You just want to do your own way.

You just. It doesn't work.

Get off the gerbil wheel.

That love and respect cycle of just twisting you in and out. Let the Lord heal you. I hope you got something tonight. Unusual service with every head bowed, every eye closed. If you're not right with God, don't leave this place, in that condition, give your life to Jesus.

There's a hell to shine and a heaven to gain. And the way that you gain heaven is by believing on the Lord. Believe on him, receive him. Believe that he died on a cross and rose again from the grave. And receive him through repenting of your sin.

Because it is your sin that crucified him as well as mine and the sins of the whole world. And it's to as many as received him. He gave them the right to become children of God. God, you come as child through repentance and believing that he died and rose again. That is how you become his child.

If you've never given your heart to him, won't you do it now? Those online you say, I did, but I'm not exactly living for him. We'll repent and come back. Come back home. Return to your first love.

You say, that's me, Pastor Daniel. I want to give my heart to Jesus, or that's me, Pastor. I want to recommit my life to Lord. Wonderful. If that's you, would you slip a hand and acknowledgement.

Put a hand up and acknowledgement that you want Jesus. You want heaven to be your home. You want to live life and life to the full right now. You want to be forgiven, Raise your hand high. I see those hands in the back.

God bless you, ladies. God bless you. God bless you. Raise your hand high. God bless you.

God bless you. Wonderful. God bless you. Pray with me right out loud. Say, dear Heavenly Father, thank you for sending your son Jesus to die in my place.

I believe he rose again from the grave. And I ask you tonight to forgive me, wash and cleanse me. I repent for all of my wrongs. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for hearing my prayer.

Amen. Let me pray for you. I pray, Holy Spirit, fill and touch and break every bondage, every chain. Release your power upon marriages, upon families, upon all of us. May we all be like Abigail Gail and may we all be like David to be able to hear when we're being rebuked or be able to share a loving correction so that we wouldn't miss the mark.

Thank God for the obstacle that stops us on the weight from blood guilt.

Keep us from evil. Lord, thank you for what you've done tonight, what you'll do all week long. Lord, bless your people well. I hope you were encouraged by God's word. Thank you again for listening to Kings Alaska podcast.
