Dealing with Pain and Mistreatment Part 1

Take your Bibles and turn with me, please, to the Old Testament.

The reason we're studying the life of David is there's more written about David than any other Old Testament character. Go to Psalm 31. I was in the back, and this is the fourth message that I'm preaching today. I was in the back and I was feeling God's power just resting on me. Not a hundred percent sure where this message is going to go.

I'm so glad that you don't have notes. I have 25 pages.

I gave no notes to the media people. So you're loosed from having to follow along. And I deeply appreciate all your hard work. As we're in the back, I was talking to Dr. David Martin, who is one of our ministers and a great man of God. Where are you, Dr. David?

You're somewhere. Dr. David. Dr. David. There he is.

I turned around And I said, Dr. David, we are an intense church. He said, yeah, we are. I thought about that for a moment as I could feel God just resting on me and beginning to gather my thoughts together. Psalm 31. Psalm 31.

I think it is partially due to personality, but it's well beyond that. There's a fire that burns on the inside of us that cannot be extinguished. And in fact, when cornered, which we've been cornered numerous times, the fire burns hotter and brighter and God just comes through over and over and over again.

I love the story of David because I see myself, I see some of you in the story of David, a man, the only one called a man after God's own heart. And I like that because he's, you know, before he studied his life, I just thought, oh, David, David, the young shepherd boy, redhead, anointed giant killing David. But you start looking at his life and you start realizing, yeah, the man after God's own heart was also a liar. I'm not looking at anybody particularly. I'm looking over the heads of everybody.

If you're feeling convicted right now, that's the Holy Spirit liars go to. He's also a liar. He lied. He was discouraged. Instead of trusting God, he acted insane and went on to Gath with the sword that was made there from the giant.

Like they're not going to know who. Who you are. So he. He feigns insanity to get out of it.

At times he was rebellious. He didn't listen to the prophet.

At times he did. But one of the things you see with David over and over is that he constantly comes back to a place of repentance. Constantly comes back to a place where he looks to the Lord and calls on the Lord, the sweet psalmist of Israel.

And as I was reflecting on his life and the place that we're at is really 1st Samuel 24, I had to stop and just begin to think, gosh, here's this kid, he's in his 20s. Where we're at in the study. He's been called out of the sheepfold by the prophet. His family's highly dysfunctional. Seven brothers, they don't call him.

When the prophet comes, man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the, at the heart. The Lord selects the one who's not even invited. He steps over seemingly qualified people and he'll pick someone whose heart is hungry and thirsty. And right before God. The anointing, the power of God, the God's enablement comes on you, even though others might not have you, know who you are and he will elevate you and he will raise you up as a trophy of his grace if you'll allow him to.

And David brought the psalmist, sweet psalmist of Israel, wrote those psalms and played his harp, his oil poured over his head and he's called to the palace as the anointing comes upon him. Three public anointings is the only one in all of scripture that's anointed three times publicly. David. So he's this, his first anointing, anointing of power. Saul is now abandoned to a demonic spirit and is disturbed.

And so one of Saul's court says, oh, I know a guy. Come on. Somebody say, I know a guy. I know a guy when he plays and you need to have him. Yeah.

So he's supernaturally by divine orchestration. The next king of Israel is led into the court to play music for the demonized king who's still king.

You thought your employer was bad. Saul tried to pin him to the wall with javelins. He has this relationship that's growing with God and he would go back to Bethlehem to tend the sheep. Well, a battle breaks out and just summarizing. And I'll bring you to Psalm 35.

Battle breaks out and Goliath, the fat headed, uncircumcised one, taunts Israel, defies God. He comes to deliver cheese and bread, pizza, basically, he's a pizza Delivery boy brings it to his brothers. There's two of the brothers that are there. The rest are home. We can assume he comes and Goliath comes out and defies God, defies Israel, mocks them.

And David is troubled. He's bothered because he has this walk with God, like what he knows in his heart. He killed the line, he killed the bear. Like this fat head. I mean, with a.

Look at this. What? Man, that's like a. That's like a quadruple X. Some of you have big heads.

This guy had like a really big head. He thought differently. With a head that big, I can't miss. And so he said, I'll. I'll take him on.

He tries on the armor. His brothers mock him. He's. He's misjudged. Anybody ever been misjudged?

Eliab, his brother's like, I know why you came down here. Who did you leave those few sheep with? You arrogant little punk. That's not who he was. He's misjudged.

He over. He steps over that and he ends up killing Goliath. By the hand of God, I come to you in the name of the Lord God. It's a spiritual battle.

He drops Goliath and takes Goliath's head off and becomes a national hero at like 18 years old. Moves home from home and goes to the White House, goes to Gibeah, goes to where Saul is and takes up a command post. Having one Saul's daughter over and tax exempt status. Come on, somebody.

I just feel to share this. Pause. Everybody say pause. Pause. There are some ignorant people that say that the church should pay taxes.

Let me tell you why. The church should not pay taxes. For all of the ignorant. The church shouldn't pay taxes because the church belong. The church belongs to you.

And we paid taxes already. That's why the church doesn't pay taxes.

Somebody say amen. Otherwise you're double taxing people and it's unconstitutional. That's why there's tax exempt status. Press play.

He gets tax exempt status. He gets a daughter and he's hated all the more. And he develops this relationship with Jonathan. Thank God for covenant relationship. Thank God for people who stand with us and no matter what.

And Jonathan. Jonathan should have been the next king. But he saw the anointing. He saw God's power. He saw the oil.

He saw the favor upon David, the young ruddy, handsome shepherd boy chosen by God, not by man. He knew his father was a failure. It had to be heartbreaking. But he yielded. I mean, that's real maturity.

He yielded. He didn't fight against David. He said, I'm with you, bro. I'm gonna help you. And he basically spared his life.

Psalm 35.

Stand up on your feet with me.

Excuse me. Psalm 31.

Are you ready?

A psalm of David. The Lord is a fortress in adversity.

Take it from verse 3, Psalm 31 and verse 3.

For you are my rock and my fortress, therefore, for your namesake, lead me and guide me. Pull me out of the net to which they've secretly laid for me. You are my strength. Into your hand I commit my spirit. You have redeemed me, O Lord, God of truth.

Let's pray. Father, thank you. Move in great power. In Jesus name, Amen. You may be seated.

So at this point in David's life, he's. He's running from Saul. He's an ex. Anointed king. But.

But he's not king yet. And it takes him years get to the place where he would then rule Judah and then years later, seven years after that, become king over all of Israel. And yet he's chosen by God. And in the call of God, there comes adversity. And the midst of adversity, he'll mold you.

He'll make you into something that you might. You might not be aware of what he needs to do in you. There's things on the inside of you that you need to get rid of. Come on. He's the potter and you're the clay, and he molds you and he makes you.

And adversity is great. I said this before. This building and the challenge of building this. And I think perhaps we have even greater challenges ahead. I don't know.

I'm so grateful. I wouldn't wish it on anybody on one hand, and at the other hand, I wouldn't trade it for anything. Because going through something that's impossible unless God shows up is fantastic because it puts something in you that can no other way be put in you. Amen. It's a resistance.

Submit to God, resist the devil, he will flee. I. I weightlift. I'm a weightlifter. I do it regularly, all the time. By resisting weight, I make myself strong.

The same is true spiritually. So David here is responsible for the killing of 85 precipit knob. He's made some horrible failures. He's in fear. He's afraid.

He. He retools and come back to the Lord. He's. He's in the cave of Adullum.

And somehow he. He writes this. And you see in the Life of David, constantly stepping over abuse, mistreatment. Raise your hand if you've ever felt abused or mistreated. Yes.

6.5 billion people on the earth and I will tell you, you're going to feel it. It's going to happen. Bump your neighbor and say, welcome to humanity. Yeah, that's normal. Dealing with hurts, dealing with disappointment.

I mean, I've had some heavy disappointments in my life.

Death of our, our first son. Very, very difficult. Foreign.

I've had numerous hurts. I've been mistreated. I've been through some things. Oh, I'm not saying it so that I can elicit anything from you. It is literally part of breathing.

You're like, if you're here, you're going to go through difficulty. Some of the difficulty we go through is the discipline of the Lord God. God disciplines those he loves, he beats the hell out of. What do you mean? It's a plaque on Lauren Cunningham's computer when he was here.

He's gone on to glory. Lauren Cunningham is the founder of ywam. And on his computer for years he had those whom the Lord loves, he beats the hell out of. It comes from Hebrews, the book of Hebrews. It's those whom the Lord loves, He chastises, he trains.

So there's. There's a chastisement of heaven. There's a training of heaven. Some of you've been coined. What you've been calling the devil is actually God trying to get the stupid out of you.

Not feeling the love down the right hand side of the church. Can I come over here? There is discipline that comes from God. You can re. Listen, you can rebuke God all you want.

It just. He doesn't go away. You can try to move and everywhere you go, there you are. Geographical moves do not. Does not remove the dumb on the inside of you.

So there's. There's difficulty that we go through because of the discipline of heaven. There's difficulty that we go through because of you. Us literally poor choices. Raise your hand if you ever met a poor choice.

We all make poor choices at times. I try not to do that anymore. Then there is the devil. Come on, somebody say the devil. Yeah, the devil's real.

He's a defeated foe. But you must render him powerless, keeping him underneath your feet. His power is in his lie. And if you yield to him, you give way to him. Then you're going to end up getting beat up.

He comes to steal, kill and destroy. But Jesus has come that you might have life and life to the full. So there's a discipline of the Father. There's our own foolishness, our own stupidity. I said, there's a fallenness of mankind.

Man, I, I would never want to go back and be 20 something unless I know what I know now. And I go back in at a 20 something, that'd be like amazing.

I was dumber than a box of rocks when I was in my 20s. We had a saying in the Bracken family. It's hard to be 17 and know everything.

There's creation, there's creations grown. There's a fallenness of creation. There's difficulties you'll go through. David went through mistreatment difficulty because of a demonized Saul. And yet God is in charge of the whole thing.

So it had it, it was allowed.

One preacher called it the Seminary of Saul.

If God puts his hand on you, you're going to go through some cave like experience. I think the last time I preached was training in the cave.

It's one of the most important aspects of your life in God is how do you handle and respond to disappointment, difficulty, mistreatment, and even abuse. I said it in one of the previous messages. The way that you respond to praise and the way that you surround a criticism reveal something about you. Listen close. If you're all stoked and fired up and just like, you know, that's right.

When somebody just blows your trumpet and says that you're the greatest sensing sliced bread and you're Jesus in shoe leather. And you'd be like, you know, yeah.

And then somebody else is like, you don't, you know, criticizing you and slamming you. And then you, you just hide, hide in your room crying. Both indicate something. They both indicate something about your identity. Don't let anybody puff you up.

Just believe what God says. So when they, when somebody says something against you, they don't like you. It does not matter. It doesn't matter. Eat the meat, spit out the bones.

I, I am deeply loved first of all by God. I'm deeply loved by my wife and my children, my mom, my family and many, many others. I'm also hated. I could care less because I'm going to stand before the one who's going to judge me in the way that I live and my God. I got to repent a lot.

Anybody else being mistreated is, is, as I said, common to being a human being. And if you will respond in the right way when Saul throws his spirit, you. If you'll respond in the right way when you go through all kinds of difficulties and A doag is raised up or a Judas. There's no. There's no crucifixion resurrection without a Judas.

If you'll respond rightly, God will bless you. God will promote you. Here's some keys to responding rightly from the Psalm. Psalm 31 verse, verse 5. Into your hands I commend my Commit my spirit.

Come on, say that. Into my hands. Into your hands. Into your hands. Okay, turn to your bible.

First Corinthians 6.

You have to transfer.

Your rights.

I'm not getting what I deserved. I deserve better. Really? Do you really deserve better? Let me tell you what you deserve, honey.

You deserve death. I got one amen from my brother Noel. I got a second amen. Can I get a third?

Can I get an Amen?

First Corinthians 6, verse 19 or. You do not know that their body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Who's in you? Listen closely whom you have from God. And you are not your own.

And you are not your own. And you are not your own. And you are not your own. Am I repeating myself? For you've been bought with a.

You've been bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's whole. Do you belong to right now? I'm all for boundaries. I'm all for taking a stand.

But there are times when people think things about you. There's times when. When you're feeling persecuted or mistreated. In the end, you just have to let it go and trust God because you belong to him. This principle is foundational in your walk with God.

This principle is foundational in moving on and flowing in power and flowing in anointing. And this what David did. Not all the time, but it's a quality of David, and it needs to be a quality bar as a key. Understanding and responding to hurt and pain, especially when it comes from other people, is to realize that you've been purchased and you belong to God. And if you will stay in that place, not take vengeance as mine declares the Lord, so many want to like.

I'm gonna set the record straight. Head dirt bag, I'm gonna set you on fire.

When God fixes somebody, bruh, they're fixed.

I will say, and it might sound arrogant, take it however you want. It's a simple truth. Every time we have had people come against us here at Kings, whether it be me personally or the church in a way that was unwarranted. Now I. I've to repent for some stuff not willful sin. But sometimes I get a little.

Well, stick around and you'll know what I'm talking about. I'm gonna do my best to be Christlike and speak loving. There's things that just. I can be a little spicy, and then I step over a line and I have to repent. Better than being neutered, sitting in the corner saying nothing.

Can you say amen?

Come up to Goliath. Hi. Can I pray for you? We kill him.

Some of you want to pray for Goliath when you should sink a stone from God's word right in his head. All right.

Every time. I think I can say that kind of categorically. Every time anyone's come against the church or tried to hurt us and we've kept our hearts, right, I've taken things into my own hands a little bit. But then I repent. God deals with it.

And let me tell you, when God deals with it, it's over. What do you mean? I want it done now. No, sometimes it takes years. And his.

We take his. His kindness for weakness. He's patient, long suffering. And he does it because he wants to reach me. He doesn't want anybody to get hurt.

But if you come against. You come against someone unwarranted in a way that brings you out from under the hand of God, you're going to get spanked. And we've had people that brought forth death threats in times past. We've had all kinds of challenges. And every single person that ever did that, sad.

They're dead at a young age. They're broken. They've lost everything. Completely destroyed. And we don't wish that on anybody.

And even that, you know, God. Listen closely to what I'm about to say. God will allow and bring the just the right amount of judgment on you so that you turn and you change to him and get transformed. God, God's judging me. Maybe that's the heaven's discipline part.

A foundational principle is that you do not belong to yourself. You've given your life to Christ. You belong to him. Come on, lift a hand to heaven and say, I belong to God.

And oftentimes people who just love Jesus don't learn to transfer their rights. You have to transfer your rights to God. You give it to God. As the psalmist David said, into your hand I commit my spirit. Into your hand, I commit my spirit.

Committing our spirit into God's hands is to commit the most important issues of your life to God.

David did it. Everything that deeply touches your heart, you commit it to him. He cares more about you than you could possibly care about yourself. He's God. He's a loving, kind God.

It involves continually transferring personal rights.

I had. I had an encounter years ago where I was so upset that I didn't get the thing. I remember mouthing off when I had some thoughts about some other ministers that were not exactly healthy.

Oh, yeah, I'm thinking, lord, that's not even fair. You called me. You chose Lord, what is going on? You choose this pencil neck Lord.

The Lord's like, by your very attitude, shows that you're not ready. And if you really want. You really want justice? I heard it again. Do you really want justice?

I'm like, yes, maybe not. Do you really want justice, son? Do you? You really. And then it was just like, son, you don't want justice.

You want mercy. I'm like, okay, all right, I'll take that. Come on, somebody say mercy. You cry out for justice. How about he brings that on your backside?

See how that works out. Can we say backside, hinder parts? King James.

You continually commit the ownership of your Life. Turn to First Peter 2. You continually commit the ownership of your life to God who owns you.

Absolutely. First Peter, chapter two, and verse 23 says this.

When he was reviled, he did not revile in return. Talking of Jesus, when he suffered, he did not threaten, but he committed himself to. To him who judges righteously. To be reviled means to be insulted, to be spoken against in a sarcastic way. David had this.

First Samuel 24 and first Samuel 26. Man, he takes beatings, and yet he remains in this place of allowing God to fight for him. If you'll do that, learn to do it now. Don't. Don't understand what I'm saying.

To me something I'm not saying. So let me say what I'm not saying. There are people that need boundaries. You need to give people boundaries. You don't let somebody walk over you.

You don't let somebody abuse you. You don't let somebody take advantage of you. But there are times that come where you're misunderstood. Times where people mistreat you, including your spouse, perhaps. There's times that come and if you'll understand that God is a judge of all, and you and your surrender your rights to him and just trust God for the out.

You know, if somebody walked up to you and punched you in the face, the next time you saw them, you would at least stay at arm's distance. That's smart. Come on, somebody say, that's smart.

Turn to Romans 12. Listen leave room. Leave room for God's vengeance. Leave room for God's vengeance. I don't have to seck the record straight.

I've known people that have like, committed their lives to setting the record straight. You know when the what's going to be set straight? At the throne. At the throne. That liar, that manipulator, that Jezebel, that Ahab, whoever hurt you, whoever stole your stuff and all that.

It didn't get set straight here. That you know of. It will be absolutely corrected at the throne. Promise. You can't manipulate God on that day.

All charades are over. Romans 12 and verse 19.

Do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath. For it is written, vengeance is mine. What a terrifying scripture. I will repay, says the Lord. Therefore, if your enemy is hungry, feed him.

If he's thirsty, give him the drink. Go down to verse 21. Do not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with.

The domain of vengeance. And payback belongs to God, does not belong to you. And if you allow yourself to move into a place of the one who's going to bring vengeance, you will destroy yourself.

Take your Bibles and turn to second Corinthians.

Second Corinthians, Overview of Second Corinthians, Chapter 4, 6. Paul develops this theme on how to experience God's power and presence in a greater way. In those chapters, how many of you want to experience God's power in a greater way?

Let me turn there.

Second Corinthians, four. If you're all there, say woohoo. Teaching you the word tonight.

Matthew, Mark, Luke, 2nd Corinthians, Somebody said, how do I find it? Well, in the front of the Bible. Now, if you have a, one of those electronic devices, you could just tap it, you know. But if you have a Bible, you. It's like a book in that you look for the table of contents.

I'm not mocking, I'm being serious. When I first came in, like, how does everybody know where everything is? What about this? How come, what's this whole big other part? It's the Old Testament.

There's a division between the Old and the New Testament truth. Second Corinthians, chapter four. Find verse seven.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellence of his power may be of God and not of us. Listen close now. We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed. We're perplexed, but not in despair. Persecuted, but not forsaken.

Struck down, but not destroyed. Verse 10. Everybody say verse 10. Always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. Everybody say, the life of Jesus manifested in our body.

Understand that God's purpose in your life, you're going to have trials, you're going to have difficulties. David, it's real. You're anointed to be the next king, but you're going to live in a cave right now. Why? Because there's training in the cave and there's things that are going on and he's moving the pieces all around and you're in a rush.

I'm in a rush. But he's not. God is not on a rush. The devil drives. Say that the devil drives.

God leads. God would lead you. The devil will try to drive you to get outside of the will of God. Need to happen. Need to happen.

When I was a younger man, I used to be so impatient. Now I'm just partially impatient. I used to push Dr. Morocco, we need to do this now. He would say, no, we don't. Not an emergency.

He said, daniel, I don't do emergencies. I'll pray for three days. I'll let you know. He would always take three days. He would pray.

Sometimes it went in my favor. Most times I had to wait longer. Boy, it did something to me. God's got a purpose that you would experience his power in a greater way. Listen closely.

I'm not going to preach all night to you. If you'll respond to the midst of your difficulty, your hardship, your. Your mistreatment, your misunderstanding, your persecution, your hard pressed, crushed but not destroyed, perplexed, you respond the right way, you get the life of Jesus. Everybody say, the life of Jesus. What is the life of Jesus?

Well, what is that? What is the life of Jesus? It's resurrection power is what it is. The life of Jesus is the power of God. It's raised from the dead.

Power. Would you like raised from the de. Power? Yes. Then respond the right way.

In the midst of difficulty, in the midst of heaven's correction, in the midst of your own stupidity, why, he helps make you smart and mold you on the potter's wheel in the midst of other people thinking evil about you, even though you didn't even do anything. In the midst of the attack of the enemy, responding the right way in all of those circumstances releases power in your life. The life of Jesus will be manifested in you. Some of you murmur and complain. God's trying to put power, the life of Jesus on you, but you're complaining so much you're attracting the Destroyer.

Believe in Second Corinthians 10.

They're given examples, holding about the Old Testament. They're. They're giving examples to us and warning us that through their complaining and murmuring, they released a destroyer. You can release death with your mouth.

The devil's purpose is to get you offended. The devil's purpose is to get you offended and outside the will of God. Get you all bent up, bowed up, get you angry. That's not fair. I. I get.

I should be the guy. Really. If you should be the guy and it was God's will, wouldn't it happen? Okay. Unless maybe the enemies blocked you, then you didn't pray through.

There can be things that happen. I understand that. But you must trust and commit your spirit to the Lord. He owns you. So many illustrations coming to mind.

The impacting of your life and destiny. And not just that. And the life to come, the age to come. How you live now will determine later on where you will be. I don't mean heaven.

I'm talking about a hierarchy of elevation within the kingdom. I just shot right over your head. So I'm gonna have to go to some scripture.

We'll get there. The increase of God's power. Look with me. Second Corinthians 4, verse 10. That life, it's the anointing, always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus.

The life of Jesus may be manifested in our body. Look at verse.

Go to verse 1417. Pardon me. Verse 17. For our light affliction. Everybody say, our light affliction.

For our light. Another version says, our momentary light affliction, which is for a moment. For our light affliction. New King James. Which is for a moment is working.

Listen close. For us, a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.

Literally, what's taking place by you transferring your rights to God and allowing that foundational principle to work in you in the midst of mistreatment, like David and trusting him. Yes, you have boundaries. Yes, you're going to step away so it doesn't punch you in the face again. But there's things that happen where you feel mistreated or misunderstood and you're not elevated, but you're the anointed one. And on and on and on.

If you'll respond rightly in the midst of that, if you'll respond the right way, which is transferring your rights to God, saying, you know, my times are in your hand. I commit my spirit later on in that. I think it's verse 15. My times are in your hands. Psalm 31, verse 15.

I believe it is my Time, my spirit, I come into your hands. My. My times. Some of you don't commend your times and say, how come God didn't do it yet? How come I don't have a wife yet?

How come I don't have a husband yet? How come the bill is not paid off yet?

You commend your spirit and your times into his hand. And what will happen in the midst of the difficulty, the hardship, the press down is the life of God will be manifested in you now and in the future, in the age that's to come. Eternal weight of glory. You have to have a revelation of eternity. The wheels are down.

I'm on approach. Lift your hands to Jesus.

Hallelujah. Can I have keys? Minister Heidi, would you. It's kind of a. You can go right up the stairs.

I prefer. This is kind of a Minister Heidi message. It's got that power on it like that. Appreciate you. Just play whatever comes naturally.

Nothing that you know from. Just do your thing, the Holy Ghost thing you do. Lift your hands to Jesus.

There are so many even here in the room.

And it's like. It's like you're just in the place of waiting.

And you're wondering where the breakthrough is. You're wondering where the elevation is. You're wondering where the finances are. You're wondering why. Why hasn't God done this thing for me yet?

I hear these messages. I. I'm here.

The Holy Spirit is trying to get something in your spirit tonight. That you belong to Him. Your times are in his hands. I love what he says to the disciples as they ask him, is it that this time, Lord, that you're going to restore the kingdom? He says, it's not for you to know.

The times, the seasons are in the Father's control. And what does he say after that? But you'll be endued with power. How is it that power has anything to do with times and seasons? Simple.

If you're so filled with the Spirit, you don't really think about what time it is. You're filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. Then you're just trusting him and trusting his plan and trusting his timing. You get lost in a wave of his power and his love. And you don't really care.

You don't really care. You're like, oh, I love you, Lord. I love you, Lord. I love you, Lord. I love you, Lord.

Look what the Lord has done. I love you, Lord. I love you, Lord. I love you, Lord. I love you, Lord.

I love you, Lord. Lord, stay in that Place. Some of you don't know him like that. You think of him as a cosmic bellhop. Ding, ding, hook me up with what?

Where's my justice? Where's my money? Where's my stuff? Aren't you going to shut? And he's like, aren't you going to shut up?

Trust me. Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Don't trust in Him. Don't lean on.

On his. On his way, on his truth. Welcome to the crooked path of pain. Which will you have? I'm gonna take his way.

I'm not gonna be offended. I don't have time to be offended. I don't have time. And it just, it just totally disrupts my walk with God too.

Lord, do you know where I am? Oh God, do you know where I am? He says to Job, do you know how this happened? And that happens. You know about the foundations of the world?

How he hangs a world on nothing. Lightning and thunder. Mere whispers, mere whispers of his ways. Trust in him. Trust in him.

Trust in his leadership. Yes. Have boundaries. Yes. Have healthy relationships.

Yes, all of those things. But in the end, trust him.

That's what David did. Mistreatment. Absolutely. And if you'll do that, you will have a greater release of God's power on your life now. You will walk in a greater unction, a greater anointing, a greater enablement.

Resurrection, life of Jesus. Momentary light affliction.

We were like five years in full time ministry. We were so broke we couldn't pay attention.

I mean, we came in with a giant debt load and we were tithers and givers all the way through that God was just helping us all along. And man, He. He really taught us dependence. And I remember we came to a place where it was like, it looked like it was over, man. I mean, it's just like, oh, we're going to bring reproach.

And I remember talking to God, Lord, what are you doing? What are you doing? I tithe, I give, I pray. I'm a pastor. Lord, this is just insane.

What are you doing? And the Lord spoke to me, said, what you're going through is momentary and it's light. Light affliction. I came to that scripture and I read that and I realized, oh my gosh, it's gonna pass. It's gonna pass.

It's gonna pass. Oh, Lord, I'm sorry. Lord, forgive me. Help me to do my part. Show me what I'm to do.

I'm not gonna get bitter. I'm not gonna get angry. I'm not gonna shake my fist at God and tell him he. He doesn't know what he's doing. What do you think you're doing?

God, For God's sake, for your namesake, what are you doing? Some of you do that should stop that. It's a bad idea. And it puts a bitterness in your heart.

Then you walk around with a spirit that's broken and a bitter, angry spirit. You can't lift your hands and worship anymore. The music's always too loud, too soft. Wrong songs. Right songs.

Can we sing hymns? Murmuring, Complaining all the time. Releasing death upon yourself everywhere that you go. Your wife doesn't understand you. Your husband doesn't understand you.

Your kids are like little devils and you're just losing your ever loving mind.

Little devils. Depending upon their age, maybe they're bigger. I don't know. Maybe they're big devils. Lift your hands to Jesus.

He's here. The power of God is here. Powerful, powerful word.

How will you respond to the offense that's coming to you this week?

Momentary light affliction. It's working. Come on, somebody say it's going to work for me. Yeah, if you work it, it works. If you're working.

Anybody ever heard that before? If you allow a transition of your rights to God, that he, that he owns you, he purchased you and you allow for him to have his way. Crucifixion, yes. Death to your agenda. Death to yourself.

But the life of God manifested in your body. What will happen is you will receive greater power here in this life. You'll walk in a greater anointing and unction from God now and in the age to come. And literally the way that you pass this test, turn the last scripture. First Corinthians 15.

Hallelujah. First Corinthians 15. If you're everybody should go there. Go there.

Not a popular scripture.

Verse 41. 15 First Corinthians 15, 41. The sun has its greatness. New Living Version the moon has its greatness. The stars have their greatness.

One star is different from another star in greatness. Everybody say that one star is different from another star in greatness. It is the same with people who are raised from the dead.

What does that mean? That means when you die, not everybody's equal. When they get up. The resurrected body in the resurrection, in the afterlife, in eternity. Not everyone's equal.

Oh, I'm sorry to disturb your party, but I'm trying to get you elevated. So your momentary light affliction you will do for you. It gives you greater power if you respond now. Life of Jesus now and in the age to come. That's what it's talking about, the age to come.

There will be people that will be elevated. And I'm not even sure what that even means. I don't know. I heard one person say that if you're. If you're elevated, you're closer to the throne.

I do not know, but it's clearly here. It is the same verse 42. It is the same with people who are raised from the dead. The body will turn back to the dust when it's put in the grave. The body raised from the grave will never die.

In the age to come. You have a. You have a material body. You have a. You have a resurrected body.

What is that? I'm totally ripped. I don't know what your body looks like.

Can eat Ho Hos and chocolate chips and bread. Oh, Carbs.

I'm kidding.

Heavenly carbs. Many people have a wrong view of heaven.

I don't have it all put together, but I see in scripture that there's an elevation that comes. There's an elevation that comes through the people who respond rightly in the midst of difficulty have an eternal view. This is a test.

This is a test. Say it to your neighbor. This is a test.
