I. Introduction.

A. Who is Beelzebub?

1. We read that the Jewish religious leaders accused Jesus of driving out demons by the power of Beelzebub, the prince of demons.

2. Beelzebub is derived from the word “Baalzebub,” found in II Kings 1:2.

3. The actual word is Baalzebub.

B. To worship Beelzebub is to worship Baal, the god of the Caananites.

C. Baal worship included gross sexual immorality and child sacrifice.

II. A look at the text.

A. Balaam has been hired to curse ________ by the Moabites and Midianites.
